Eric Nahass
Lead Pastor
Rev. Eric Nahass was born and raised in New England. After graduation, he attended Southern Nazarene University and Nazarene Bible College where he earned his Bachelors of Theology. In 2012, he was ordained as an Elder while serving on the South Texas District. Pastor Eric has served as youth and associate pastor at San Antonio First Church of the Nazarene, Senior Pastor at San Antonio Tezel Oaks Church of the Nazarene and Senior Pastor at Heritage Oaks Church of the Nazarene in Duncan, Oklahoma. Pastor Eric married his best friend, Samantha, in 2002. Samantha is an educator and has worked as an Elementary teacher, Instructional Coach, and a Title 1 teacher.
Pastor Eric enjoys traveling with his wife, hiking, coffee, reading, visiting with others, and the Boston Red Sox.
Nate Barefield
Student Ministries Pastor
Rev. Nate Barefield has served in full-time youth ministry since 2006, in Louisiana, North Carolina and South Carolina. He is the SC District NYI President. He has previously served as District NYI President and Vice-President in North Carolina. Pastor Nate is currently working on a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at Columbia International University.
Shannon Mangicaro
Children’s Ministries Pastor
Pastor Shannon Mangicaro officially joined CFN’s pastoral team on June 1st, 2023 after moving to Columbia, South Carolina from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is district licensed and enrolled at Nazarene Bible College working towards ordination. Shannon is passionate about the importance of showing children the love of Jesus and making sure they know they are never too young to grow in their relationship with the Lord. Her husband, Brian, has served faithfully in children’s ministry alongside Shannon for years and is her biggest support. Shannon and Brian have been married 20 years and have seven children.
Anthony Bryant
Outreach & Discipleship Pastor
Pastor Anthony Bryant was born and raised in Georgia and relocated to Columbia, South Carolina in 2008. His previous leadership professions include the United States Army, Corrections Officer, Deputy Sheriff, County/Highway Patrol Officer and educator in the public school system. Anthony has been a member of Columbia First church since 2008 and has served in various leadership ministry positions to include… ..1. NYI President, 2. Middle and High school Youth Director, 3. Adult Sunday school teacher, 4. NDI President, and 5. Church Board Member. On July 16, 2023, Anthony officially joined the staff at Columbia First as the Outreach and Discipleship Pastor, on a part time basis. Pastor Anthony is district licensed, obtained his BA in Christian Ministry at Northwest Nazarene University and will graduate with his MBA in Organizational Leadership at Columbia International University in 2024. Pastor Anthony married his soul mate Donna, in 2023. Donna teaches as an College Adjunct and also is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Pastor Anthony hobbies include fishing, working-out and spending time with his four-year-old grandson.
