"Afterlife" Lesson 3

It can be easy to forget who God really is sometimes. And it can be even easier for your students to forget who they really are, too! But every year at Easter, we get the chance to point them back at what God did thousands of years ago to remind us not only who He really is, but who we really are because of Him. Loved, important, forgiven—Jesus’ death and resurrection shows us we’re all that and more to Him. In this series, we’ll remind students what they can know to be true about themselves because of the gift we celebrate at Easter—Jesus’ resurrection and after life!

Each Wednesday we meet in the Columbia First Gym from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The night consists of a lesson, small groups, and then some fun games to end the night!

You can also join on ZOOM at 7:10 p.m. Contact Pastor Nate for the login info: nbarefield@columbianaz.com

"It's Personal" Lesson 5

Students all have one thing in common: They want to be seen, known, and valued for who they are. They don’t want fake relationships; they want personal ones. In this series, we’re going to look at five specific questions they can ask to make the relationships in their lives more real and more personal. How do we know it can happen? Because we’re taking a tip from the way Jesus did it to give them an idea of just how to make everything—including their relationship with Him—a little more personal.

Join us in the Columbia First Naz gym on Wednesdays! If you are more comfortable joining via ZOOM please contact Pastor Nate for the login info: nbarefield@columbianaz.com.

"Vibes" Series

Nobody has more vibes—more moods they experience or things they feel in a deep and real way—than your students. And while there’s nothing wrong with feeling all the feels, the problem comes when they let these passing vibes become the motivators of their moods and actions. That’s why in this series, we’re going to help your students deep dive into some of the feelings we all feel and the way they inspire our actions in an effort to figure out what they can do to better control their vibes instead of letting their vibes control them.

Each Wednesday we meet in the Columbia First Gym from 7-8:30 p.m. The night will consist of a lesson, small groups, and then some fun games to end the night!

ZOOM is also available so that those at home can join us! We will begin at 7 p.m. The Zoom will be during the beginning announcements and for the entirety of the lesson. We will share the screen on the TV in the gym so we can connect with you at home! Contact Pastor Nate for the ZOOM details: nbarefield@columbianaz.com

"Family Matters" Lesson 4

Is there anything more complicated than family? Whether your students are dealing with changes, fights, fractures, or more, navigating family matters is no easy feat for them. And for many students, the temptation is to give up. To check out. To say, “in a few years (or months), I’ll be out of here anyway.” But as leaders of families, we know family doesn’t stop affecting us when we leave high school. For the rest of our lives, family matters. And maybe that’s why Scripture has so much to say about it! In this series, we’ll talk about life with every family from picture perfect to totally fractured. And as we do, students will discover no matter what your family looks like...family matters.

Now that school is back in session, we will be meeting in the Columbia First Gym each week from 7-8:30 p.m. each Wednesday. The night will consist of a lesson, small groups, and then some fun games to end the night!

This week we will ZOOM so that those at home can join us! We will begin at 7 p.m. The Zoom will be during the beginning announcements and for the entirety of the lesson. We will begin by sharing the screen on the TV in the gym so we can connect with you at home! Contact Pastor Nate for the ZOOM details: nbarefield@columbianaz.com

"Like Me" Series

Your students all have a tendency to compare themselves to others. The grades they’re getting, the people they’re dating, the friends they have, the clothes they wear, the highlight reel on their Instagram feed—it all feels like one long list of what others have that your students just don’t! In this series, we’ll help them discover that comparison not only keeps them from liking others, it holds them back from being able to like themselves! And the further they move away from comparison and toward contentment, the more they’ll be able to love who they are just as they are!
